The MBA (Master of Business Administration) is an internationally recognized degree designed to develop to skills required for careers in business and management. The MBA degree can also be used to pursue a managerial career. The MBA is one of the most popular professional degree in the world. More than 2,500 programs are offered worldwide and most in English.

In Shanghai, for example, the French school named ESSCA (Ecole Superieures des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers) offers an Digital Marketing & Business MBA partnered with another school named EFAP (Ecole des Métiers de la Communication).

Living outside China, we MBA students sometimes have limited knowledge about China but quickly learn with experience. Curiosity, discovery, and learning the nuances of a foreign culture are what brought us here. Studying in Shanghai is definitely an amazing experience for MBA students because we are in a vast ocean of academia from all over the world. So you don’t only deal with one culture but with all of them at the same time. The Asian culture is completely different from what we were used to.

Being an MBA student in China implies competition with your classmates, sleepless nights and a lot of team projects. Courses themselves are manageable but you will have to learn how to manage your time because of all the work we have to deal with.

A normal week as an MBA student will start on Monday by being in class by 9:30 a.m. and might end sometimes at 8:30 pm. Our Wednesdays are dedicated to the company we work for as Junior Consultant.

The skills we acquire as MBA students in China are:

The courses offered in this program (Business development in China, Digital Transformation in China, Digital Marketing in China…etc.) are extremely important as they prepare us to what is going to be the big step in our life. At the end of our program we should be ready to enter the job life.
