For brands, the trend is more than ever to develop an in-depth understanding of consumer habits in a particularly complex context. To meet this ever-growing need, Google has just deployed a major update of its Google Analytics tool : Google Analytics 4.

Google recommends configuring new Google Analytics 4 properties for all existing properties, as new features will only be available on Google Analytics 4 in the future.

BENEFITS OF THIS NEW VERSION?

·     ADAPT TO A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT

GA4 generates responsible and sustainable metrics that provide a long-term perspective on business results, while meeting user expectations regarding privacy.

·     FOLLOW THE EVOLUTION OF YOUR COMPANY

Google analytics 4 measures, unifies and deduplicates all of the interactions that people have with your business across devices and platforms, giving you a complete and relevant view of the customer journey.

·     MAKE IT EASIER TO ACHIEVE YOUR MARKETING GOALS

GA4 enables you to take action more effectively based on your data and insights to achieve measurable marketing results.

·     GENERATE RELEVANT BUSINESS INSIGHTS

GA4 automates and facilitates the discovery of insights with the performance of Google’s learning machine, so you can get the most out of your data without difficulty.

HOW TO INSTALL IT?

Google has announced that it is no longer investing in the old version of Google Analytics, making GA4 as the “default” version of the service.

In order to stay up to date and benefit from future updates, Google recommends creating a new “Google Analytics 4” property (formerly called “App + Web property”) in addition to your existing properties.
