Earn your financial freedom by working only 4 hours a week thanks to digital is that possible? This summer I discovered the book The 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. I didn’t know this author until I read The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson, which is one of the books I enjoyed the most and whose foreword was written by Tim Ferris.

This is the of cover of the 4-Hour Work Week.

Tim Ferris’s book gave me a whole new perspective on the world and on the different ways to live a life of freedom. Because what we need to protect most in the world is our time (and of course our health).

What this book is about?

Between personal development and real business advice, Tim Ferris gives us a practical guide to running a fully digitalized and outsourced business that practically runs itself. This configuration does not confine him to a fixed place on earth. The author and entrepreneur is free to visit the most unusual places in the world, to learn to tango and to scuba dive. He has time for that!

To get into the details, here is a summary of the book offered by Chat GPT:  “The 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss is a self-help book that promotes the idea of “lifestyle design,” or creating a lifestyle that allows for maximum personal freedom and flexibility. The book covers topics such as outsourcing, automation, and personal branding, and encourages readers to think creatively about how to achieve financial freedom and live life on their own terms. It is a best-seller and has been widely influential in the personal development and business communities.”

So, how is this possible?

In this world, to be free of your time while enjoying total financial freedom, you have to be an owner, investor, or smarter than everyone else. Because being financially free does not necessarily mean being a millionaire, but being able to generate enough income to allow you to achieve your dreams through the goals you have set for yourself.

What I learned from this book is:
– You have to learn to trust
– You have to learn to delegate
– You can outsource all kinds of knowledge that you don’t have
– A way to get organized and focus on your goals.

You think it’s impossible? Let me tell you about another example, Drop-shipping with Yomi Denzel. ⬇️

All this is possible thanks to digital technology and has never been so accessible. Today, literally everyone can enjoy the benefits of drop-shipping as long as they have the right mindset to do it.

If you want a taste of the richness of Tim Ferris’ book, I recommend this article.

To quote the last two quotes that inspired me in Forbes and Forbes France this last month: “What do you need to start a business? Three simple things: know your product better than anyone, know your customer, and have a burning desire to succeed.” – Dave Thomas (FOUNDER OF WENDY’S) and the second one: “What makes an ambition credible is the personal price you are willing to pay.” – Nicolas Sarkosy (Former President of the French Republic)

Why reading are so important for me?

I’d like to reserve this last paragraph for trying to raise awareness about reading. I have been an active reader for 2 years now, reading during my miracle morning period between 6:00 and 6:30 every morning before going to the gym.

I would like to testify to all the richness, all the knowledge, all the ideas, all the inspirations, all the visions of the world, all the innovations that these authors have spent often, all their lives to write in less than 300 pages for the most part and which offers us a new look on the world.

Knowledge is power. So learn, but above all, act.

Before I leave you, I’d like to share this book by Eric Briones which happens to be volume two of Luxury & Digital. I recommend this article written by Charlotte Brodsky, which I think should make you want to walk through the door of a bookstore.

Thank you for reading.

🎁 Here is an interview with James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits directed by Tim Ferris who will teach you how to hack your brain through self-discipline and habit creation.
